EGX flags in green during Tuesday's trading

The exchange’s total market capitalization stood at around EGP 4.354 trillion, up from EGP 4.287 trillion at the previous close, a gain of approximately EGP 66.4 billion.

Egypt’s benchmark EGX 30 index gained 1.03%, closing Tuesday’s trading session at 55,431.29 points.

The EGX 70 index, which tracks small and mid-cap stocks, climbed 2.03% to 21,318.22 points, while the broader EGX 100 index advanced 1.73% to 21,318.2. The Sharia Index climbed 0.17% to 6,559.41 points.

The exchange’s total market capitalization stood at around EGP 4.354 trillion, up from EGP 4.287 trillion at the previous close, a gain of approximately EGP 66.4 billion.

Trading value reached EGP 16,1 billion, with 4.14 billion securities traded across 338,725 transactions.

Egyptian investors recorded a net purchase of EGP 135.4 million in stocks, while foreign investors posted a net purchase of EGP 113.5 million. Arab investors recorded a net sell-off of EGP 248.9 million.

Top gainers in Tuesday’s session

Al Tawfeek Leasing Company-A.T.LEASE surged 19.93%, closing at EGP 6.8. KORRA rose 19.83%, ending the session at EGP 4.29. TransOceans Tours gained 17.65%, closing at EGP 0.06. South Valley Cement increased 14.30%, closing at EGP 12.47. Misr Beni Suef Cement climbed 12.55%, ending the session at EGP 460.

 

Top losers in Tuesday’s session

Alexandria New Medical Center dropped 20%, closing at EGP 104.59. Lotus For Agricultural Investments and Development declined 8.85%, ending the session at EGP 1.03. Industrial & Engineering Projects fell 6.60%, closing at EGP 0.99. GlaxoSmithKline decreased 6.07%, closing at EGP 320.04. Ismailia Misr Poultry declined 5.91%, closing at EGP 32.66.
