Egypt's Administrative Capital is ready to host the meetings of Arab finance ministers in May 2024, Minister of Finance, Mohamed Maait said during his meeting with Fahd Al Turki, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Monetary Fund (AMF).

These meetings aim to exchange Arab experiences and expertise on current financial policy challenges faced by Arab countries, Maait added.

Additionally, the primary goal is to find ways to address these challenges and achieve development objectives, in light of global economic crises.

Minister Maait expressed Egypt's willingness to strengthen cooperation with Arab countries to achieve Arab economic integration.

Furthermore, Egypt seeks to consolidate joint action links to advance economic activity and increase mutual investments between Arab countries.

The Minister reviewed Egypt's efforts during the last period in structural and investment reforms, which were reflected in attracting direct investments, most notably the Ras El Hekma deal.

He expressed his appreciation to the AMF for its continued support for comprehensive development efforts in Egypt.

Earlier in February, Egypt and the UAE signed a real estate investment deal under which Abu Dhabi Developmental Holding Company (ADQ) acquired the rights to develop the Ras El Hekma project. This deal represents Egypt's largest foreign investment deal, amounting to $35 billion, to develop Ras El Hekma on the North Coast.
