Volume of trade exchange between Egypt & Brazil reach $2.4B

The volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Brazil in the first 10 months of 2023 reached approximately $2.4 billion, this led Cairo to emerge as Sao Paulo's 14th largest partner.

Additionally, Brazilian exports to Cairo recorded about $1.89 billion, while Egypt’s exports to Brazil reached about $440 million.

Brazilian Ambassador to Egypt, Paulino Franco, announced that during a meeting, which was held by the regional office of the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in Cairo, including officials from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Agriculture from the two countries, along with a delegation of Brazilian businessmen.

Brazil is Egypt's largest trading partner in Latin America, while Egypt ranks fourth as Brazil's largest trading partner in Africa, Franco added.

In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of diplomatic, social, and economic ties between Egypt and Brazil, a direct flight route connecting Cairo and Sao Paulo will be established.
