RiseUp 2023 to kick off, celebrating a decade of supporting local entrepreneurs

The Middle East’s largest entrepreneurial event, RiseUp Summit, begins today, celebrating its 10th year anniversary at the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). The summit is set to run throughout the weekend.

Under the slogan “Stay Real,” this year’s summit is expected to attract more than 14,000 attendees from 60 countries around the world, according to RiseUp.

“Over the course of 10 years, RiseUp was able to attract 5,000 investors, and Egyptian startups were able to raise about $3.5 billion, which contributed to boosting foreign investment in Egypt,” said Abdelhamid Sharara, founder and CEO of RiseUp at a press conference last week.

This year’s summit will feature more than 300 speakers and experts from all over the world from Amazon, Shinez Google, and Microsoft, in addition to speakers from LinkedIn, Disney, Meta, Snapchat, and DreamWorks, among others.

RiseUp Summit 2023 will host talks and panels on trending topics such as artificial intelligence (AI), non-fungible tokens (NFTs), the state of the ecosystem with the Minister of International Cooperation, and the future of CX (customer experience).
