Omar Radwan, Chairman of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX), said around 550,000 new investors have entered Egypt’s stock market since the beginning of 2026, compared with approximately 299,000 new investors registered throughout 2025.

Speaking at the “Money Made Simple” conference, Radwan highlighted the rapid expansion of the EGX’s investor base, noting that a new investor is joining the market every 45 seconds this year.

He added that the exchange attracted around 300,000 new investors last year, bringing the total number of new investors added over the past two years to approximately one million.

On upcoming listings, Radwan said he expects MNT-Halan (HALN) to complete its listing on the Egyptian Exchange within two weeks, followed by Misr Life Insurance (MLIC) and Banque du Caire (BQDC) later this year.

In September, the Egyptian Exchange signed a memorandum of understanding with the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) aimed at strengthening cooperation and supporting the development of the financial services sector.

Radwan had previously said that average daily trading value on the Egyptian Exchange had risen to around $200 million.
