The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Wednesday’s trading session, September 30, 2026, on a mixed note, with the benchmark EGX30 index, which tracks the market’s 30 largest listed companies, falling 0.77% to close at 51,894.83 points.
Meanwhile, the EGX70 EWI index of small- and mid-cap stocks rose 1.11% to 18,625.73 points, while the broader EGX100 EWI index gained 0.64% to close at 24,776.36 points.
The Shariah index declined 0.66% to close at 6.251.8 points.
Total trading value reached EGP 8.841 billion across with EGP 2.0 billion securities, 236,386 transactions.
The total market capitalization stood at EGP 4.056 trillion, down from EGP 4,076 trillion at the end of the session.
Arab and foreign investors were net buyers, recording net purchases of EGP 34.907 million and EGP 412.053 million, respectively. Egyptian investors, meanwhile, were net sellers with net sales of EGP 446.960 million.
