Egyptian Exchange closes lower, EGX30 falls 0.33%

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Tuesday’s session, September 28, 2026, in negative territory, with the benchmark EGX30 index falling 0.33% to close at 52,297.12 points.

The EGX70 EWI Index, which tracks small- and mid-cap stocks, declined 0.51% to 18,421.66 points, while the broader EGX100 EWI dropped 0.34% to 24,619.32 points. The Shariah index also declined 0.08% to 6,286.78 points.

Total market capitalization of listed companies stood at EGP 4.076 trillion, down from EGP 4,091 trillion at the previous session.

Total trading value reached EGP 6.963 billion, with 1,5 billion securities, across 208,651 transactions.

Egyptian and Foreign investors were net sellers, with net sales of EGP 22.892 million and EGP 80.548 million, respectively. Arab investors, meanwhile, were net buyers with purchases totaling EGP 103.440 million.
