The Egyptian Exchange ended Monday’s session, September 28, 2026, in negative territory, with the benchmark EGX30 index falling 1.06% to close at 52,468.71 points.
The EGX70 EWI index, which tracks small- and mid-cap stocks, declined 2.89% to 18,516.8 points, while the broader EGX100 EWI dropped 2.43% to 24,702.56 points. The Shariah index also declined 1.66% to 6,291.75 points.
Total market capitalization of listed companies stood at EGP 4.091 trillion, down from EGP 4,142 trillion at the previous session.
Total trading value reached EGP 8.258 billion, with 1,9 billion securities, across 251,343 transactions.
Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers, with net sales of EGP 305.981 million and EGP 140.192 million, respectively. Foreign investors, meanwhile, were net buyers with purchases totaling EGP 446.173 million.
