Egypt’s benchmark EGX 30 index gained 0.45%, closing Wednesday’s trading session at 55,679.72 points.
The EGX 70 index, which tracks small and mid-cap stocks, lost 0.44% to 21,225.15 points, while the broader EGX 100 index advanced 0.03% to 27,744.78 points. The Sharia Index climbed 0.11% to 6,566.37 points.
The exchange’s total market capitalization stood at around EGP 4.381 trillion, up from EGP 4.354 trillion at the previous close, a gain of approximately EGP 27 billion.
Trading value reached EGP 15,1 billion, with 3,42 billion securities traded across 334,221 transactions.
Egyptian investors recorded a net sell of EGP 174,1 million in stocks, while foreign investors posted a net purchase of EGP 194,6 million. Arab investors recorded a net sell of EGP 20,5 million.
