Egypt appoints Omar Mohamed Sadiq Radwan as Chairman of Egyptian Exchange for one year

Radwan’s nomination comes backed by extensive executive experience across Egypt’s financial sector.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has issued a decree appointing Omar Mohamed Sadiq Radwan as Chairman of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) for a one-year term, succeeding Islam Azzam, who moved to head the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA).
 
Radwan’s nomination comes backed by extensive executive experience across Egypt’s financial sector.
 
He most recently served as CEO of Wealth Management at Beltone Financial in June 2025, after previously holding the position of Head of Growth Sector between April 2024 and June 2025, where he contributed to strategic expansion initiatives, digital transformation, and client base diversification.
 
He also served as Group Head of Risk Management at CI Capital Holding from October 2022 to March 2024, gaining deep expertise in institutional risk governance and operational efficiency.
 
Between 2018 and 2024, Radwan held senior roles within Bank Misr’s investment arms, contributing to the expansion of asset management services and the launch of digital initiatives aimed at strengthening investment fund distribution channels.
 
His professional background also includes roles at HC Securities & Investment, Arab Finance Brokerage, Arab Bank, and EFG Hermes, reflecting broad exposure to regional capital markets.
 
Academically, Radwan holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification, in addition to postgraduate studies in digital transformation from ESLSCA Business School in France and fintech training from Oxford University’s Saïd Business School.
 
He also serves as a trainer at the Egyptian Investment Management Association since 2010, delivering programs in portfolio management, derivatives, and risk management. Radwan graduated with honors in Economics, with a minor in Computer Science, from the American University in Cairo in 1997.
