Sept 20 | EGX stays in the green to add EGP 6.1B to market cap

Today’s trading volume was recorded at 455.22 million shares over 47,593 transactions, with a turnover of EGP 1.04 billion

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended today’s trading session in the green, continuing its positive streak from yesterday.

Benchmark index EGX 30 climbed by 1.59% to close at 10,010.53 points, followed by EGX 50 which was up by 1.12% to 1,900.23 points.

EGX 70 rose by 0.96% to end at 2,198.01 points, while EGX 100 was up 1.02 % to close the session at 3,140.7 points.

Today’s trading volume was recorded at 455.22 million shares over 47,593 transactions, with a turnover of EGP 1.04 billion.

Market capitalization hit EGP 688.27 billion, adding EGP 6.1 billion when compared to yesterday’s EGP 682.17 billion.

Trading on securities saw Egyptian and foreign traders as net buyers with EGP 31.49 million and EGP 10.55 million, respectively. Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 42.05 million.

The top gains of the session were by South Valley Cement which climbed by 11.28%, Arab Cotton Ginning by 10.92%, and The Arab Dairy Products Co. Arab Dairy – Panda by 10.53%.

The largest losses of the day were by EL Ezz Aldekhela Steel – Alexandria which dropped by 4.93%, Misr National Steel – Ataqa by 3.37%, and Al Khair River For Development Agricultural Investment & Environment by 2.95%.
