Remittances from Egyptians working abroad rose by 28.1% during the first seven months of 2026, reaching approximately $29.7 billion, compared with $23.2 billion during the same period a year earlier, according to the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).

Remittance inflows maintained their upward trajectory in July 2026, increasing by 20% year-on-year to around $4.5 billion, compared with approximately $3.8 billion in July 2025.

During fiscal year 2025/2026, remittances climbed by 29.6% to $47.3 billion, up from $36.5 billion in the previous fiscal year.

In June 2026 alone, inflows reached approximately $4.2 billion, marking annual growth of 15.6%.

Remittances also recorded an all-time high in 2025, rising by 40.5% to approximately $41.5 billion, compared with $29.6 billion in 2024.
