Cairo International Airport welcomed approximately 30.94 million passengers in 2025, marking a growth rate of 6.8% compared to 28.97 million passengers in 2024.

This growth aligns with the Ministry of Civil Aviation's plan to enhance operational efficiency and improve the level of services provided to travelers.

The airport recorded the highest daily operating rates during the year, with a peak day reaching about 103,000 passengers on 696 flights (both departures and arrivals) across the three terminals.

This reflects the operational system's readiness and its capacity to handle increased traffic, especially in preparation for the Christmas and New Year’s Eve 2026 holiday season.

Additionally, the total number of flights in 2025 increased to 224,300, a growth of 4.8% compared to 214,100 flights in 2024, highlighting improvements in operational planning and the sustainability of growth rates.

In anticipation of peak periods, Cairo Airport announced a heightened state of readiness across all departure and arrival halls, implementing flexible operational plans, increasing workforce numbers across various sectors, ensuring the swift completion of procedures, and maintaining the highest standards of safety, security, and operational consistency.

These efforts are part of the civil aviation sector’s ongoing initiatives to develop airport infrastructure, increase its capacity, and improve service quality, reinforcing Cairo International Airport’s position as a key regional hub for air traffic in the area.
