Egypt, Jordan sign 10 agreements to strengthen strategic partnership

The signed documents cover a range of sectors, including the activation of an MoU between the two countries’ ministries of endowments, cooperation in investment and free zones, consumer protection.

Egypt and Jordan signed 10 cooperation agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) in Amman on Tuesday to bolster their strategic partnership.
 
The agreements were inked on the sidelines of the 33rd session of the Egyptian-Jordanian Joint Higher Committee, attended by Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and his Jordanian counterpart Jaafar Hassan at the Jordanian Prime Ministry headquarters.
 
According to a statement from Egypt’s Cabinet, the signed documents cover a range of sectors, including the activation of an MoU between the two countries’ ministries of endowments, cooperation in investment and free zones, consumer protection, local development, the protection and restitution of cultural property, scientific cooperation, youth, and government procurement.
 
The two sides also agreed to launch a high-level financial dialogue.
 
The statement noted that these agreements mark a new step forward in Egyptian-Jordanian relations and will enhance economic, cultural, and social cooperation for the mutual benefit of both peoples.
 
The ceremony concluded with the signing of the committee’s meeting minutes, cementing this stage as a milestone in the ongoing strategic partnership between Cairo and Amman.
