The volume of trade between Egypt and Serbia has more than tripled, reaching $300 million in 2023 compared to $94 million in 2022.

During the Egypt-Serbia Business Forum held yesterday, Egyptian Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, highlighted the significant growth in bilateral relations, expressing optimism that this upward trend will continue following the Egyptian Parliament’s ratification on May 26 of the Free Trade Agreement between the two countries.

The agreement aims to gradually eliminate tariffs and quantitative restrictions on imports and exports.

Madbouly added that cooperation between Egypt and Serbia extends beyond goods trade to include services, logistics, tourism, and the formation of strategic alliances in infrastructure—particularly across Africa—as well as the reconstruction of neighboring countries.

Prime Minister Madbouly received on Tuesday at Cairo International Airport Gjorge Matović, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, who arrived in Cairo leading a high-level delegation.
