Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Hassan El-Khatib, announced the granting of nine new golden licenses to various strategic investment projects.
Among the projects is Otsuka Arabia for Nutritional Products, which will establish a $40 million factory in 10th of Ramadan City on a 95,000 sqm area.
The factory aims to produce nutritional products for local consumption and export, creating 100 job opportunities while transferring Japanese expertise and technology to the Egyptian market.
The Suez Warehousing Company received a license to build a strategic warehouse in Suez Governorate on 13 feddans, with an investment of EGP 1.988 billion.
This project will secure essential goods for the state and create 75 jobs, strengthening the country's strategic reserves.
Another major project is Suez Wind Energy, which will establish and operate power generation stations with an investment of EGP 1.374 billion.
The project will provide 550 MW in the first phase and another 550 MW in the second phase, contributing significantly to renewable energy development.
In Fayoum Governorate, the Egyptian Salts and Minerals Company will invest EGP 604 million in a facility producing 30,000 tons of potassium sulfate fertilizer annually. The project, covering 5,600 sqm, will generate 100 jobs and enhance local agricultural inputs.
The Nuts Land Agricultural Investment project in 10th of Ramadan City will focus on processing peanuts and nuts, investing EGP 1.392 billion across a 136,000 sqm area. This project will create 4,000 jobs and export 80% of its production, supporting Egypt’s position in global markets.
In Sadat City, MAFI for Agricultural Products will invest $180 million to manufacture and package agricultural products, employing 720 workers. The project, spanning 154,000 sqm, plans to export 100% of its output, bolstering Egypt’s agricultural export sector.
Another addition is Balkan Food Industries, which will set up a facility in New 6th of October City to produce tomato concentrates, sauces, and processed vegetables. The project, costing EGP 850 million and covering 76,000 sqm, aims to export 80% of its production while creating 80 jobs.
In Ain Sokhna, Future Fert for Fertilizers and Chemicals will invest $40 million to produce potash and phosphate fertilizers and inorganic acids. This facility, covering 127,000 sqm, will employ 300 workers and contribute to the local chemical industry.
Finally, Obelisk Solar Energy in Qena Governorate will invest $600 million in a solar energy project spanning 16.3 km². The facility will generate 1,000 MW of photovoltaic solar energy, creating 100 jobs and supporting Egypt’s renewable energy goals.
