$923M volume of trade exchange bet Egypt & Jordan during 1st ten months of 2024

CAPMAS explained that Egyptian exports to Jordan amounted to $617 million during the first 10 months of 2024, up from $553 million during the same period in 2023.

The trade exchange value between Egypt and Jordan reached $923 million during the first 10 months of 2024, compared to $706 million during the same period in 2023, according to the latest data released by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).

CAPMAS explained that Egyptian exports to Jordan amounted to $617 million during the first 10 months of 2024, up from $553 million during the same period in 2023.

The key commodities exported by Egypt to Jordan included fuel, mineral oils, and distillation products worth $103 million, preparations of vegetables and fruits worth $53 million, fresh vegetables and fruits worth $50 million, ready-made garments worth $43 million, and electrical machinery and equipment worth $38 million.

Meanwhile, Egyptian imports from Jordan totaled $306 million, compared to $153 million during the same period in 2023.

As for the main commodities imported by Egypt from Jordan during the first 10 months of 2024, they included fertilizers worth $94 million, plastics and their products worth $44 million, pharmaceutical products worth $26 million, tobacco worth $26 million, and vehicles, tractors, bicycles, and parts worth $11 million.

Regarding investments, Jordanian investments in Egypt were valued at $21.3 million during the fiscal year 2023/2024, down from $40.7 million in 2022/2023.

Similarly, Egyptian investments in Jordan totaled $4 million in 2023/2024, compared to $7.8 million in 2022/2023.
