President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi is participating in the International Summit for a New Global Financial Pact, held today in the French capital, Paris.

France will host the international summit "For a New Global Financial Pact" on June 22nd and 23rd, upon the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron.

The summit will bring together heads of state and governments, including President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, along with officials from major international organizations, representatives of global financial institutions, and members of the private sector and civil society.

The summit will also see the participation of Tunisian President Kais Saied, Senegalese President Macky Sall, Comoros President Azali Assoumani, Gabonese President Ali Bongo Ondimba, Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema, Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, and Kenyan President William Ruto.

The aim of the summit, initiated by French President Emmanuel Macron during the "COP 27" climate summit held last November in Sharm El-Sheikh, is to establish the foundations of a new financial system that is more just and solidary to address global challenges.

These challenges include reducing poverty, combating climate change, and protecting biodiversity. The summit also aims to strengthen the resilience of the most vulnerable countries in the face of economic shocks and the repercussions of climate change.

President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi is scheduled to deliver a speech in the main session of the summit under the title "A New Approach: Partnerships for Green Growth."

The session will be chaired by French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna and will also include the participation of Congolese President Denis Sassou-Nguesso, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Colombian President Gustavo Petro Arriaga, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.

In recent years, Egypt has made significant strides in attracting foreign investments and promoting economic growth. The government's focus on infrastructure development, economic reforms, and diversification of revenue sources has yielded positive results.

The expansion of the Suez Canal and the establishment of industrial complexes, demonstrate Egypt's commitment to enhancing its position as a global trade hub.

These efforts, coupled with President Sisi's participation in international forums and summits, reflect Egypt's proactive approach in seeking sustainable economic development and cooperation on a global scale.
