The Industrial Development Authority (IDA) is preparing to phase out paper-based correspondence and implement electronic linkage between its departments as part of a large-scale project to improve services provided to investors.

The authority has scanned nearly 18 million physical assets to digitize them for easier access and efficient storage.

The move towards digitalization is aimed at enhancing the efficiency and speed of services provided by the IDA to investors.

The authority has developed a comprehensive system for electronic inspections, completed the electronic linkage with licensing bodies such as the civil defense, and is set to complete the full transition to electronic correspondence soon.

In addition to upgrading systems and processes, the IDA is investing in training its employees to keep up with the digital transformation.

The customer service system is being updated to allow for online reservations, and complaints and requests from investors will be addressed electronically, ensuring prompt responses.

The complete digitalization of services will allow the IDA to provide services to investors without the need for them to visit the authority's branches or headquarters.

This digital transformation will improve efficiency, reduce paperwork and administrative burdens, and allow investors to access services and submit applications quickly and easily from anywhere.

The move towards digitalization aligns with Egypt's efforts to improve its investment environment and attract more foreign investment.

By modernizing its services, Egypt is making it easier for businesses to operate in the country, which will create more job opportunities and contribute to the country's economic growth.
