In celebration of World Heart Day, Danone Egypt announced its partnership with Magdi Yacoub Global Heart Foundation to supply their patients during their post operation care with nutrient rich products to support their healthy recovery.

The partnership comes as part of Danone Egypt’s commitment to provide unique food solutions for a healthy happy Egypt.

Through the partnership, Danone Egypt will supply the foundation with a refrigerator for medical supplies and a continuous 6 month supply of its diverse food solutions portfolio, which includes baby milk formula to reduce reflux symptoms resulting from the weakening of the valve between the esophagus and stomach in some newborns, lactose-free milk, and a variety of its dairy products.

Haitham Sadek, General Manager of Danone Egypt and North East Africa commented on the partnership, “Our main goal is to positively impact the community we operate in by providing our unique food solutions to those in needs.”

He continued, “Danone Egypt today is leading by example not only through providing healthy nutritious food solutions; but most importantly by educating the public on the importance of adopting a healthy diet.”

Danone Egypt’s ambition is in line with the government’s vision to shed light on the importance of nutrition and its direct impact on health, NCDs development at an early age (Noncommunicable diseases) and life expectancy.

From her side, Dina El Gazzar, Vice President for Development and Donations at Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation expressed her gratitude to Danone Egypt for its support to children’s nutrition especially those benefitting from the foundation’s services. “We are appreciative of the private sector as a whole for its ongoing support to the civil society and children in need. These efforts contribute to raising a generation with better health by providing proper health services and nutrition support.”
