Google's spokesperson clarified that Google Wallet is initially offering a passes-only experience, allowing users to conveniently store and access boarding passes, event tickets, and loyalty cards in their digital wallet.
The announcement comes on the heels of the official launch of Apple Pay, and the Central Bank of Egypt’s (CBE) introduction of payment card tokenization on mobile applications.
In a notification sent to creators utilizing services such as AdSense, YouTube’s AdSense, AdMob, or Google Ads Manager, the company stated, “We will no longer pay earnings in US dollars in Egypt.”
