Madbouly highlighted the significance of the project, emphasizing that it is closely monitored by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Mahmoud Esmat, met with Peter Mollema, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Cairo, to explore opportunities for deepening cooperation in various sectors, particularly green hydrogen and renewable energy projects.
The electricity minister further highlighted the importance of completing projects related to the joint Arab electricity grid to activate the integrated Arab electricity market, managing it according to economic standards
Additionally, another MoU was signed with the Voltalia-Arabia alliance to begin studies for generating 1.1 GW of wind power and 2.1 GW of solar power.
This was in the presence of Egypt’s Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, and Bavarian State Prime Minister, Markus Soder.
