The EGX70 EWI index, which tracks small- and mid-cap stocks, fell 2.23% to 19,255.25 points, while the broader EGX100 EWI index dropped 2.26% to settle at 25,421.74 points. The Shariah index also declined 2.18% to stand at 6,457.27 points.
