The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) Operations Committee has approved the start of trading in shares of Gourmet Egypt beginning Tuesday, February 10, 2026, following the completion of the company’s public and private share offering.

According to an EGX statement issued on Thursday, Gourmet Egypt’s shares will be listed on the medium-activity market, allowing investors to use all trading mechanisms during the same session, including T+1 trading. The stock will also be eligible for margin trading and can be accepted as collateral at up to 80% of its market value.

The opening (reference) price for the stock will be set at EGP 6.90 per share, matching the offering price. During the first trading session, price movement limits will be set at double the standard limits applied in the relevant market, reaching up to 40% both upward and downward, without triggering temporary trading halts. Regular price limits will apply starting from the following trading session, once a new closing price is established.

Regarding price stabilization for the public offering, the EGX said the special operations market (OPR) will be opened for 30 calendar days, from February 10 to March 11, 2026. During this period, the offering manager will be required to place an open buy order at the offering price, while sell orders will be limited to shareholders who participated in the public offering, up to the number of shares allocated to each investor.

The exchange clarified that only shares acquired through the public offering will be eligible for sale under the price stabilization mechanism, with shares purchased from the open market excluded. The Misr for Central Clearing, Depository and Registry (MCDR) will be responsible for matching orders in line with the set conditions.

Earlier on Thursday, the public and private offering of Gourmet Egypt was completed, covering 190.5 million shares, representing 47.6% of the company’s capital, at a price of EGP 6.90 per share. The total value of the offering amounted to approximately EGP 1.31 billion.

The private placement included 152.4 million shares, accounting for 80% of the total offering and 38.1% of the company’s shares, while the public offering comprised 38.1 million shares, representing 20% of the offering and around 9.5% of the company’s capital.
