EGX plummets into the red at the start of week

Sunday trading reported 487.64 million shares exchanged with a turnover of EGP 2.28 billion.

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) reported a downward trend during Sunday, closing trading in the red with benchmark index EGX 30 falling 2.91% to 25,659.13 points.

EGX 70 was down by 2.21% to 5,632.32 points, followed by EGX 100 dropping by 2.44% to end the session at 8,156.18 points.

Sunday trading reported 487.64 million shares exchanged with a turnover of EGP 2.28 billion.

Market capitalization was recorded at EGP 1.73 trillion.

Trading on securities saw Egyptian investors as net sellers with EGP 113.44 million. Foreign and Arab traders were net buyers with EGP 74.39 million and EGP 39.05 million, respectively.
