Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly met with Kuwait’s Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation and coordination between the two countries across various sectors.
Madbouly highlighted the longstanding ties between Egypt and Kuwait, stressing Egypt’s commitment to translating the close relationship into deeper cooperation, particularly in sectors where the two countries have competitive advantages.
He emphasized Egypt’s interest in expanding joint investment and bilateral trade to levels that better reflect the strong relations between the two countries. He also expressed Egypt’s ambition to attract more Kuwaiti direct investment and build on previous discussions between officials from both sides on investment opportunities.
Madbouly also noted growing interest among Egyptian companies in expanding their presence in the Kuwaiti market across several sectors.
For his part, Kuwait’s Crown Prince underscored the depth of bilateral relations and Kuwait’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Egypt across various fields in line with the aspirations of both countries.
He also stressed the importance of maintaining active communication between the two sides and enhancing coordination in the coming period, particularly through the numerous bilateral agreements that provide frameworks for cooperation across a wide range of sectors.
