These enhancements aim to provide an integrated educational environment for children of determination, ensuring better opportunities for interaction, learning, and full inclusion in society.
In line with Housing & Development Bank’s commitment to its societal role and its strategic vision for sustainable development, which prioritizes supporting the education sector and the empowerment and inclusion of people of determination, the Bank inaugurated the kindergarten building at Al‑Nour School for the Blind in Fayoum Governorate, in collaboration with “Al-Masry Al‑Aseel” Association.
Implemented under a comprehensive development plan, the project introduced dedicated kindergarten classrooms tailored to early childhood learning needs, provided age-appropriate educational equipment, upgraded the schoolyard to ensure safe and inclusive activities, supplied a modern Braille printer, and established an interactive learning environment through digital media. These enhancements aim to provide an integrated educational environment for children of determination, ensuring better opportunities for interaction, learning, and full inclusion in society.
The inauguration was attended by Ahmed Al‑Ansari, Governor of Fayoum; Gehan El-Goly, Head of Corporate Communications and Sustainable Development at HDB; and Rania Al‑Eisawy, Treasurer of “Al-Masry Al‑Aseel” Association for Community Development.

The event also featured participation by senior representatives of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Social Solidarity, along with executives from HDB and “Al-Masry Al-Aseel” Association.
In this context, Gehan El-Goly, Head of Corporate Communications and Sustainable Development at HDB, expressed pride in the Bank’s contribution to developing Al‑Nour School for the Blind in Fayoum, in collaboration with “Al-Masry Al‑Aseel” Association, praising the association’s impactful efforts to empower the most vulnerable groups, especially people of determination, through initiatives spanning health, education, and the environment.
El-Goly noted that Al‑Nour School was selected as a specialized educational institution serving blind children across multiple grade levels, and in light of the school’s urgent need to establish kindergarten classes and modernize its educational environment to meet the specific needs of visually impaired students. She added that the project will facilitate students’ daily lives, ease burdens on their families, and ultimately strengthen opportunities for full inclusion in society.

El-Goly further affirmed that supporting and empowering people of determination is a cornerstone of HDB’s CSR strategy. She highlighted the Bank’s previous successes in similar projects, including this year’s support for Al‑Amal School for the Deaf in Fayoum, where HDB funded the renovation and rehabilitation of the dormitory building. El-Goly also emphasized the Bank’s ongoing, productive partnerships with civil society organizations to maximize impact and achieve equitable education that enables everyone to participate meaningfully in community development.
El-Goly underscored that HDB remains committed to ensuring a dignified life for the most vulnerable, particularly people of determination, as an integral part of society, in order to guarantee their full inclusion, foster equal opportunities, and uphold the principles of justice and equality for all.
