The signing took place on the sidelines of the sixth edition of the TransMEA Exhibition and Conference for Smart Transport, Logistics, and Industry, held under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
Kamel El-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, and Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, signed today a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise in road transport.
The agreement is between the Egyptian Ministry of Transport, represented by the National Institute of Transport, and the Saudi Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services, represented by the General Authority for Roads of Saudi Arabia.
The signing took place on the sidelines of the sixth edition of the TransMEA Exhibition and Conference for Smart Transport, Logistics, and Industry, held under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
El-Wazir stated that expanding Egyptian-Saudi cooperation and opening new channels of coordination, especially in light of regional challenges, is a key success reflecting the shared strategic vision of the leadership of both countries.
This vision is centered on the principle that “Egypt and Saudi Arabia are always together.
He emphasized that the partnership demonstrates the commitment of both sides to developing transportation infrastructure, exchanging technical and institutional expertise, and strengthening human capacity and scientific research in road-related fields.
This cooperation, he added, represents a significant opportunity to deepen knowledge exchange, support joint development, and enhance training and technical skill-building for professionals in both countries.
