Egyptian exports to Cyprus saw substantial growth, reaching $193 million in 2024, up from $103 million in 2023.
The volume of trade between Egypt and Cyprus reached $327 million in 2024, compared to $115 million in 2023, according to data released by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).

On the other hand, Egypt’s imports from Cyprus experienced an even more dramatic surge, climbing to $134 million in 2024 from just $12 million in 2023.
Among the top Egyptian exports to Cyprus in 2024, iron and steel led the way with $98 million, followed by fertilizers at $45 million. Other notable exports included paper ($9 million) and plastics ($7 million).
Conversely, Egypt’s top imports from Cyprus were primarily mineral fuels and oils, amounting to $124 million.
Additionally, Egypt imported machinery and electrical appliances worth $5 million and pharmaceutical products valued at $1 million.
Cypriot investments in Egypt soared to $114.6 million in FY 2023/2024, a sharp rise from $35.2 million in FY 2022/2023.
Similarly, Egyptian investments in Cyprus more than doubled, reaching $40 million in FY 2023/2024, up from $17.3 million in FY 2022/2023.
