Egypt signed an agreement with Belarus to strengthen the common trading system, which was signed by Head of Egyptian Customs Authority, Shahat Ghatouri, and Alexey Bogdanov, Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of Belarus.

This agreement is a result of the ongoing collaboration between the Egyptian Customs Authority and the State Customs Committee of Belarus.

Its purpose is to advance the economic and customs interests of both nations while improving the effectiveness of customs oversight on goods and vehicles traveling between them.

As part of their collaboration, the pilot project will be implemented aimed at sharing information on the movement of goods and vehicles between the two countries. This project lasted for 12 months, starting from the date when the agreement came into effect.

This agreement includes facilitating customs procedures between the two countries, including allocating separate lanes for vehicles, which will reduce the time taken by customs operations.

It is worth noting that the signing ceremony was in the presence of Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly and his Belarusian counterpart.
