Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Hala El Said, participates at the 2024 World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) Spring Meetings in Washington D.C., running from April 15 to 20.
The purpose of this participation is to discuss global challenges by increasing financing solutions, promoting private sector investments, and strengthening resilience against future shocks.
El Said will participate in several important meetings focusing on how to achieve more economic stability and prosperity for countries affected by the conflict. The Minister of Planning also will participate in the IMF’s meeting titled “Presentation and Launch of Regional Economic Forecasts” for the Middle East and Asia Department.
She will hold meetings with a group of the most prominent figures from the leadership of the World Bank and the IMF and many major investors. The agenda will include meetings with the IMF’s team to discuss public investment management.
A high-level Egyptian delegation, comprising top officials from the Central Bank of Egypt and the Ministries of Finance, and International Cooperation, as well as representatives from governmental and private sectors, and media outlets, are all in Washington for the Spring Meetings of the IMF and the World Bank.
