The Ministry of Public Business Sector is targeting new investments for the South Valley Company in the Toshka region.

The company aims to undertake several projects in the agricultural, livestock, fish farming, and automated slaughterhouse sectors. Approximately 50,000 acres are available for partnership with the private sector, particularly after the company's successful collaboration on around 15,000 acres with the private sector in various agricultural activities.

Additionally, the ministry seeks to cultivate strategic crops such as animal feed, wheat, oilseeds, and corn. It also plans to experimentally cultivate several varieties in demand in the local market, with the intention of expanding production during the upcoming season.

These initiatives are in line with the directives of Dr. Mahmoud Essmat, Minister of Public Business Sector, who recently restructured the South Valley Company and reconstituted its board of directors, following the establishment of a business evaluation committee for the previous board.

According to the Holding Company for Construction report, the land map of the South Valley Company site in Toshka has been adjusted, adding an additional 9,676 acres to bring the total area to approximately 50,000 acres.

The company has reclaimed around 4,300 acres and is in the process of reclaiming another 4,500 acres before the start of the September planting season, totaling approximately 9,000 acres. Furthermore, 5,000 acres have been recovered from tenants.

The leased lands include approximately 9,231 acres cultivated by tenants, while the company has approximately 69.5 acres of drip-irrigated trees.

It is worth noting that 14,400 acres have been sold to multiple investors. The remaining areas, totaling approximately 21,000 acres, consist of uncultivated lands with various production classifications.

The Ministry of Public Business Sector's focus on attracting new investments for the South Valley Company reflects the government's commitment to promoting agricultural development and economic growth.

These efforts not only aim to increase agricultural production but also contribute to job creation, rural development, and food security.

By partnering with the private sector, the ministry can leverage expertise and capital to enhance the company's productivity and competitiveness.

The expansion and diversification of agricultural activities in the Toshka region will have a positive ripple effect on the local economy, improving livelihoods and driving sustainable development.
