MCITMin discusses investments with Atos and OECD as part of his trip to Paris

The minister also discussed ways to boost cooperation with the OECD in the field of developing policies for emerging technologies.

Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), had talks with Laurent Barbet, Senior Vice-President & Head of IDM Global Engineering of Atos, to boosting its investments in Egypt.

The discussions included implementing programs for building digital capabilities in various domains.

The MCIT minister also met with Nicolas Fritz, Chief People Officer of Contentsquare, as they discussed promoting Egypt's capabilities to be an outsourcing hub.

This came in line with Talaat's visit to Paris which included holding talks VivaTech head and a number of officials of the government and French companies operating in the fields of communications and IT.

During his visit to France, Talaat also met with the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)’s Secretary-General Mathias Cormann to discuss means of cooperation within the Egypt-OECD Country Program.

The minister also discussed ways to boost cooperation with the OECD in the field of developing policies for emerging technologies.

Both parties discussed cooperation in the fields of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), digital infrastructure, and data and indicators governance.

Furthermore, Talaat met with leaders of Teleperformance, NOKIA, and Alcatel Lucent Enterprise to discuss investment opportunities and the possibility of expanding their businesses in Egypt.
