Ismailia Governorate to witness more development projects in 2022/2023 plan

The report added that the number of ongoing development projects in Ismailia Governorate has reached 307 projects with an investment value of EGP 7 billion.

A report released by the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development has shown that the number of beneficiaries from the first phase of the "Decent Life" initiative in Ismailia Governorate has reached 55,000.

The most important development projects in Ismailia Governorate, which were implemented through the initiative and achieved sustainable development goals, include the construction of 10 ambulance stations, a central hospital, three family development centers, three drinking water stations, four sewage projects, three treatment plants, as well as the construction of 12 mobile network towers for fiber optic network connection, 11 youth centers, four government service complexes, two post offices, three police stations, in addition to the rehabilitation and lining of 22 km long canals, and paving of main and local roads with a length of 147 km.

The report also pointed out the most important development targets in the local development sector in Ismailia Governorate in the 2022/2023 plan, which includes the paving of local roads with about EGP 207.4 million, in addition to directing EGP 65 million to support the electricity networks in the governorate. The number of development projects in this sector is 157 projects.

Furthermore, the report added that the number of ongoing development projects in Ismailia Governorate has reached 307 projects with an investment value of EGP 7 billion during the fiscal year 2022/2023, an increase of 29.6% compared to the previous fiscal year, in addition to the projects directed through the "Decent Life" initiative for the development of rural Egypt.

The "Decent Life" initiative was launched by the Egyptian government in 2019 with the aim of improving the living conditions of rural Egyptians and creating job opportunities, enhancing education and health services, as well as providing basic infrastructure in remote areas.

The initiative has achieved remarkable success in several governorates, including Ismailia, where the report showed significant progress and development projects have been implemented, contributing to improving the quality of life for the local population.
