President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has directed continued efforts to strengthen domestic manufacturing, localize advanced technologies, attract local and foreign investment, and support national industries as part of broader efforts to boost exports, expand production capacity, strengthen private sector partnerships, and improve the business environment.

The directives came during a meeting with Mohamed Abdel Fattah Abou Bakr, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI).

According to Presidential Spokesperson Mohamed El-Shennawy, the meeting reviewed AOI’s development strategy, with a focus on enhancing the manufacturing and technological capabilities of its factories, alongside its ongoing activities, projects, and future plans across civilian and military sectors.

During the meeting, Abou Bakr highlighted the organization’s progress in localizing advanced manufacturing technologies across emerging industrial sectors and meeting industry requirements in line with international quality standards.

He also outlined efforts to expand into new export markets, supporting the objectives of Egypt Vision 2030, while highlighting AOI’s contribution to development projects across several African countries.

The discussions also covered the organization’s involvement in strategic projects, particularly those supporting public transportation, freight transport, and light mobility solutions.

Abou Bakr emphasized AOI’s commitment to expanding partnerships with the private sector and leading international companies to attract industrial investment and strengthen domestic production capabilities.

El-Sisi stressed the importance of transforming AOI into an integrated industrial platform that brings together advanced manufacturing capabilities, private sector expertise, and foreign investment and partnerships.

He noted that closer cooperation among these stakeholders would help strengthen industrial integration, enhance Egypt’s manufacturing capabilities, and improve the country's industrial competitiveness.
