The General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) has signed an agreement with Agility Public Warehousing and Advanced Logistics to develop and operate an investment logistics zone, as well as regional distribution and redistribution centres within the economic zone, with investments of around $35 million.

Walid Gamal El-Din, Chairman of the SCZone, said the project will establish and operate an integrated logistics zone spanning approximately 53,000 square metres, with investments ranging between $30 million and $35 million.

He added that the project will support and strengthen the logistics services ecosystem across the SCZone through the development of storage, consolidation, re-export, and redistribution centres. The facilities are expected to improve trade efficiency and strengthen links between industrial activities and regional and international supply chains.

Gamal El-Din said the project reflects growing confidence in the Suez Canal Economic Zone as a global investment destination and highlights its success in attracting major advanced logistics companies. He noted that such centres provide an integrated platform to support trade, industry, and value-added services, reinforcing the SCZone’s central role in global supply chains through its strategic location connecting markets across Asia, Africa, and Europe.

In February 2025, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly inaugurated the first phase of Agility’s customs centre in the Sokhna Industrial Zone. The 21,000-square-metre facility was developed with investments of around $25 million and includes integrated operational components designed to improve the efficiency and speed of customs procedures and logistics services within the SCZone.
