Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El Khatib held talks in the New Administrative Capital with a delegation from the Arab Women Investors Union headed by Hoda Yassa to discuss expanding cooperation, promoting investment opportunities in Egypt, and strengthening Egypt’s presence in African and international markets.
The meeting comes as Egypt intensifies efforts to enhance economic diplomacy and deepen cooperation between government institutions and private sector organizations to attract investment and support regional business integration.
The ministry says business organizations can play a key role in promoting Egypt’s investment opportunities and strengthening economic ties across Africa.
During the meeting, Hassan El Khatib stressed the ministry’s full support for serious business associations, civil society organizations, and investment unions.
He praised the Arab Women Investors Union as an influential soft power platform contributing to the strengthening of Egypt’s economic and diplomatic relations, particularly across Africa.
The minister also highlighted the importance of the direct business-to-business (B2B) meetings organized through the union’s conferences and platforms, noting that the private sector enjoys strong credibility internationally when discussing investment climates and business opportunities.

El Khatib reaffirmed the ministry’s support for the union’s efforts to promote entrepreneurship culture and attract investments, while emphasizing continued coordination to market Egypt’s promising investment opportunities during upcoming international events.
For her part, Hoda Yassa reviewed the union’s achievements over recent years, highlighting the success of the investment forums and international events organized by the organization to strengthen Egyptian investment ties and connect Arab and African investors.
She noted that the union’s events have attracted high-level participation from African, European, and BRICS countries, reflecting growing international confidence in Egypt’s investment environment and economic stability.
According to Yassa, the union continues working to create broader investment and trade partnerships between Egypt and regional and international business communities.
The Arab Women Investors Union is being positioned as a soft power platform supporting Egypt’s investment outreach across Africa and international markets.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to strengthen coordination between the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade and the Arab Women Investors Union in preparation for the union’s upcoming conference.
The goal will be to highlight Egypt’s ongoing economic reforms and showcase investment opportunities to international delegations participating in the event.
