Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly began an extensive tour of the Integrated Sokhna Industrial Zone, affiliated with the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone), to inaugurate a number of new industrial projects.

The inaugurations include nine projects with a total investment of $182.5 million, spanning several vital strategic industries.

These sectors include engineering and metal industries, pharmaceuticals, textiles, glass manufacturing, as well as chemicals and polyurethane, packaging, and recycling.

Madbouly emphasized that the state is intensifying its efforts to support Egyptian industry and localize key productive sectors in partnership with the private sector, which he described as the main driver of economic development.

He noted that the government is working to boost domestic investment and attract more foreign and Arab investments into the industrial sector as part of its strategy to position Egypt as a regional industrial hub.

He added that the government has introduced a series of measures and decisions aimed at creating a more attractive investment environment for both local and international investors, encouraging the establishment of new factories across industrial zones nationwide, particularly within the Suez Canal Economic Zone.

Madbouly also highlighted that the accelerating pace of industrial expansion within the SCZone reflects growing confidence from both local and global business communities in the Egyptian economy, and underscores the state’s success in developing an integrated model that combines industry, trade, and logistics services within the zone.
