Nasr Automotive Manufacturing Company, a subsidiary of Metallurgical Industries Holding, affiliated with the Ministry of Public Business Sector, continues its path of production and development one year after the celebration of reviving this historic industrial landmark.
The company resumed operations in November 2024 following a shutdown that lasted more than 15 years.
For the first time in decades, the company has shifted from losses to profitability, achieving a net profit of around EGP 35 million during FY2024/2025.
This year marked a strong new beginning for the industrial giant, particularly at the bus factory, which underwent a comprehensive upgrade of its infrastructure and production lines.
The company launched the Nasr Sky tourist buses with a local component ratio of 63.5%, and the Nasr Star minibuses, which achieved a local component of more than 70%.
In line with the state’s clean-energy direction, preparations are currently underway to introduce the company’s first electric bus and electric minibus.
The passenger car plant also saw a full modernization program and was outfitted with state-of-the-art global production lines.
New production prototypes are now being tested for both Nasr Automotive and other international companies, reflecting the factory’s renewed ability to reclaim its industrial standing.
The company is also expanding its product portfolio by adding new light-transport vehicles to meet market needs and strengthen its role in the national automotive industry.
These achievements mark the beginning of a new chapter aimed at building a modern, competitive Egyptian automotive industry.
This comes within the ministry’s strategy to maximize the value of state assets, boost returns, support local industry, increase domestic component ratios, replace imports, and create more job opportunities in support of the national economy.
