U.S. oil and gas company Apache Corporation plans to strengthen its efforts to boost production rates in the coming period, capitalizing on the many opportunities available for new discoveries.
The announcement came during a meeting between President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and John Christmann, CEO of Apache Corporation.
President El-Sisi praised the company’s achievements in Egypt over the past decades and its plans to expand operations in line with the highest international standards.
He emphasized that Apache remains one of Egypt’s most important partners in the oil and gas sector, as the largest American investor in the country.
The President noted that Apache’s initiatives in Egypt have sent a positive message about the strength of Egypt-U.S. cooperation, encouraging further American investments in the energy sector.
The meeting reviewed Apache’s activities in Egypt and its plans to broaden and scale up its operations, continuing the fruitful partnership between the two sides in exploration and production of oil and gas.
President El-Sisi was also briefed on the progress of the company’s exploration program in newly awarded concessions in Egypt’s Western Desert.
He affirmed Egypt’s readiness to provide all necessary facilitation to Apache, supporting the achievement of mutual interests for both parties.
