Egypt plans to offer investment opportunities to American companies

The Prime Minister chaired a meeting to follow up on efforts to support and enhance economic cooperation between Egypt and the United States.

Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, directed the need for coordination among all relevant parties to prepare a range of promising investment opportunities and ensure their presentation to American companies as part of efforts to boost US investments in Egypt.

The Prime Minister chaired a meeting to follow up on efforts to support and enhance economic cooperation between Egypt and the United States.

Madbouly highlighted the government's commitment to strengthening Egypt-US relations, underscoring the strategic and historical partnership between the two nations.

He pointed out numerous opportunities for collaboration that can be utilized to deepen joint cooperation.

He emphasized the government’s efforts to remove any obstacles hindering cooperation and expressed a focus on proposing specific projects to explore potential partnerships in the near future.

The Prime Minister also mentioned a number of promising investment opportunities available to American companies, particularly given the significant advantages offered by the Egyptian government to foreign investors.

On his part, Badr Abdel-Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, reviewed the efforts and communications made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to support Egypt-US relations, both bilaterally and in the context of Middle Eastern issues, alongside the promotion of economic cooperation.

Kamel El-Wazir, Minister of Transport and Industry, discussed investment opportunities presented to American companies, which are currently being consulted upon, particularly in sectors such as ports, maritime transport, and industrial zones.

During the meeting, Rania El-Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation, outlined Egypt’s development cooperation efforts with the US, highlighting successful collaborative programs that contribute to Egypt’s development and further strengthen bilateral relations.

She also presented an overview of the Egypt-US economic cooperation program, including the current status of projects funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) in Egypt, and the Ministry’s efforts to expand cooperation frameworks and enhance relations across various sectors.

In a related context, Hassan El-Khatib, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, elaborated on the Ministry's efforts to promote trade exchange between the two countries and bolster US investments in Egypt.
