In a weekly cabinet meeting held in New Alamein City, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly announced that natural gas supplies will resume this Friday to several factories that had recently suspended operations due to shortages.

This comes as part of the government’s broader effort to stabilize industrial output and support economic resilience amid regional tensions.

Madbouly emphasized the state’s commitment to sustaining production capacity and meeting the energy demands of key sectors. "Ensuring the continuity of industrial operations is essential for achieving our economic and social goals," he stated.

The Prime Minister also addressed the recent ceasefire agreement between Iran and Israel, welcoming the development and reaffirming Egypt’s stance against any actions that undermine the sovereignty of nations—particularly Arab and Islamic states.

He reiterated Egypt’s dedication to promoting diplomatic solutions and working with international partners to ensure the stability and enforcement of the ceasefire, aiming to prevent further regional escalation.

Turning to domestic infrastructure, Madbouly spoke about his recent inspection of preparations at Ain Sokhna for receiving liquefied natural gas (LNG) via regasification vessels. These efforts aim to bolster the national gas network and meet both consumer and industrial demand.

He also highlighted visits to factories in 6th of October City, including the Middle East’s first facility for producing ultrasound and MRI equipment, as well as a factory manufacturing televisions and mobile phones. Madbouly reaffirmed the government’s strong backing for the industrial sector, noting ongoing efforts to localize strategic industries, facilitate private sector engagement, and expand both existing and new projects.

At the start of the meeting, the Prime Minister extended greetings to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the Egyptian people on the occasion of the upcoming Islamic New Year, expressing hopes for continued national stability and prosperity across the Arab and Islamic worlds.
