El-Sisi meets with Norwegian executives to discuss green investment & economic development

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with the CEOs of Norway’s Scatec, the Norwegian Investment Fund for Developing Countries, and Yara International. The meeting took place during the President’s official visit to Norway as part of his European tour.

According to the Presidential Spokesperson, Mohamed El-Shinawy, the meeting highlighted Egypt’s ambitious economic development program, with a particular emphasis on empowering the private sector and attracting more foreign direct investments.

The Norwegian executives expressed their gratitude for the attention and support their investments receive in Egypt.

The discussions also explored opportunities for cooperation with the Norwegian Investment Fund for Developing Countries and potential expansions of Scatec and Yara’s projects in Egypt.

Discussions also addressed Egypt’s commitment to supporting foreign companies operating in the country.

El-Shinawy stated that President El-Sisi commended the existing collaboration between Egypt and the attending companies in the field of green investment.

 He reiterated Egypt’s goal of becoming a regional hub for green energy and its dedication to supporting all related projects.

 Updates on existing projects and ways to enhance them were also reviewed during the meeting.
