Egyptians Abroad Corporation formed by prominent expats for diverse investments

The Minister explained that this investment company's operations will be based in Egypt. Its shares will be listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) as well as on select international exchanges.

The Minister of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs, Soha El-Gendy, announced that the Egyptians Abroad Investment Corporation is founded by 10 prominent Egyptian business leaders residing overseas. This company is planning to invest in a range of sectors, with a focus on real estate, energy, and agriculture.
 
During her interview with the "DMC" channel, the Minister explained that this investment company's operations will be based in Egypt. Its shares will be listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) as well as on select international exchanges. Additionally, they will establish an associated investment fund, offering opportunities for smaller investors. This fund will be managed by Egyptians living abroad, with the Ministry of Emigration providing support and assistance for its establishment.
 
Earlier statements by the Minister indicated that the company's initial capital is projected to be approximately $100 million, with an authorized capital of $1 billion.
 
She also highlighted her proactive approach in engaging with Egyptian expatriates through both physical and virtual meetings. Up to now, she has interacted with Egyptian communities in 63 different countries, gaining insights into their challenges and presenting the ministry's strategic initiatives. The Minister has also showcased the various state incentives and support mechanisms available to them.
 
Additionally, she underscored her commitment to maintaining daily communication with Egyptians abroad via WhatsApp groups. Through this direct engagement, many obstacles, psychological barriers, and trust issues between Egyptians residing abroad and the Egyptian government have been effectively resolved.
