The Central Bank of Egypt has announced that all banks operating in the country will be closed on Thursday, May 4, 2023, to mark Labor Day.

The central bank has confirmed that the banks will resume work on Sunday morning, May 7, 2023.

This decision comes as part of the country's efforts to commemorate and recognize the contributions of the labor force in Egypt.

The closure of banks on Labor Day will not affect any electronic transactions or online banking services, which will continue to operate as usual during the holiday period.

The central bank is committed to promoting the welfare and wellbeing of its employees, while ensuring the smooth operation of the banking system in Egypt.
