Egypt's construction materials exhibition is set to take place from May 6 to May 8, 2023. Dr. Walid Gamal El-Din, the head of the Export Council for Building Materials, expects significant deals to be made in this sector during the exhibition.

A large number of companies covering all sectors of construction and building will participate in the exhibition, including marble, granite, cement, gypsum, bricks, ceramics, sanitary ware, paints, modern building chemicals, and glass insulation materials.

Dr. Walid Gamal El-Din, the head of the Export Council for Building Materials, Heat and Metal Materials, and Construction and Building, confirmed that coordination and cooperation are ongoing between the Council, the Egyptian Exhibitions Authority, and the Commercial Representation Agency to host a mission of businessmen from African and Arab countries to visit the exhibition.

In a statement, Gamal El-Din added that the purpose of hosting a business mission from African and Arab countries is to provide them with their different needs for building materials, including Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, Nigeria, Ghana, Sudan, Djibouti, Morocco, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Iraq.

He further explained that it is expected to achieve significant export deals during the exhibition, given the interest expressed by the visiting companies in the products.

The construction sector in Egypt has been steadily growing over the past few years, with the government investing heavily in infrastructure projects.

The country's construction market is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 8.9% from 2021 to 2026, driven by investments in transport, energy, and residential construction.
