The Federation of Egyptian Banks (FEB) is welcoming new members in its board of directors after its Ordinary General Assembly announced the results of its latest elections.

The FEB announced that CEO of QNB Al Ahli Bank Mohamed Badir and CEO of Ahli United Bank Hala Hatem Sadik will be joining the federation’s board of directors.

Currently, the FEB’s board of directors is headed by Banque Misr president Mohamed Al-Etreby as its chairperson, with National Bank of Egypt’s Hisham Okasha as deputy chairperson and CEO of Commercial International Bank Egypt Hussein Abaza acting as Treasurer.

The FEB’s board also includes other big names in banking; Chairperson and CEO of Banque du Caire, Tarek Fayed; Tarek Al-Khouly, Chairperson and Managing Director of SAIB Bank, Hussein Refai, Chairperson and Managing Director of Suez Canal Bank; and Ahmed Ismail Hassan, Regional Director of the Arab Bank.

The Federation of Egyptian Banks is the updated form of Banks Association of Egypt that was founded in 1981 as an association for banks operating in the Arab Republic of Egypt, registered by the Central Bank of Egypt.
