The Prime Minister insisted on the release of all detainees in Gaza, urging Israel to respect international humanitarian law.
In a press conference held at the Rafah Crossing, Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo emphasized the critical need to deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, praising Egypt's political will and efforts in supporting the region.
He acknowledged the temporary humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza as a positive step but stressed the pursuit of a permanent cessation of hostilities. The Prime Minister insisted on the release of all detainees in Gaza, urging Israel to respect international humanitarian law.
During the conference, he stated, "We don't have time to waste; we must stand up and help. We want to express our gratitude to Egypt because they are providing substantial assistance, sending medical aid and various forms of support. We hope for a peace conference to be convened as soon as possible."
He continued, "I came here with a message for humanity, recognizing that many victims are innocent in this situation."
