Egypt’s EGX30 rises 0.2% on Tuesday, market cap at EGP 4.27T

Trading volume reached EGP 13.458 billion, with 3.275 billion securities traded through 281,974 transactions.

Egypt’s benchmark EGX30 index rose 0.2% to 55,277.03 points at the end of trading on Tuesday, August 25.
 
Meanwhile, the Sharia Index fell 0.03% to 6,564.53 points, while EGX35-LV declined 0.84% to 6,726.6 points.
 
The EGX100 dropped 0.94% to 27,390.5 points, while the EGX70 index of small- and medium-sized companies fell 1.27% to 21,101.43 points.
 
The exchange’s total market capitalization stood at around EGP 4.272 trillion, down from EGP 4.275 trillion at Monday’s close, losing approximately EGP 3 billion.
 
Trading volume reached EGP 13.62 billion, with 3.3 billion securities traded through 283,380 transactions.
 
Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 422.1 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net sellers with net transactions of EGP 19 million and EGP 403.1 million, respectively.
 
The top-performing securities included:
 
* Egyptians Real Estate Fund Certificates: +19.99% to EGP 28.87
* Lotus For Agricultural Investments And Development: +17.39% to EGP 1.62
* Nozha International Hospital +14.95% to EGP 25.53
 
Meanwhile, the biggest declines were recorded by:
 
* Tanmiya for Real Estate Investment: -6.99% to EGP 5.59
* El Ahli Investment and Development: -6.90% to EGP 58.70
* El Ezz Porcelain (Gemma): -6.09% to EGP 33.90
