Aug 11 | EGX returns to green to kick off weekend

Today’s trading volume was 663.1 million over 53,216 transactions, with a turnover of EGP 1.08 billion

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed for the weekend in the green, adding EGP 2.99 billion to the market capitalization.

Benchmark index EGX 30 was up by 0.23% to end at 9,988.84 points, with EGX 50 rising by 0.63% to 1,828.35 points.

EGX 70 surged by .25% to end at 2,058.62 points, followed by EGX 100 which climbed by 1.74% to 2,983.32 points.

Today’s trading volume was 663.1 million over 53,216 transactions, with a turnover of EGP 1.08 billion.

The market capitalization was recorded at EGP 669.53 billion, adding EGP 2.99 billion, compared to yesterday’s EGP 666.54 billion.

Trading on securities saw Egyptian and Arab investors as net buyers with EGP 67.92 million and EGP 19.33 million, respectively. Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 87.26 million.

The biggest gains of the session were by Rubex International for Plastic and Acrylic Manufacturing which climbed by 17.78%, Sharm Dreams Co. for Tourism Investment by 15.68%, and Egyptian Transport by 14.33%.

The biggest losses of the session were by Sabaa International Company for Pharmaceutical and Chemical which dropped by 15.13%, Belton Financial Holding by 7.01%, and Speed Medical by 6.17%.
